The Anglo Platinum Bubble Sizer is a turn-key system for acquiring information on the size and distribution of the bubbles in flotation cells (e.g. platinum, gold, coal etc.) It is developed and exclusively produced by Stone Three for Anglo Platinum Research.

The Bubble Sizer consists of the physical housing apparatus (including a digital stills camera) that can be used for

• air flux (Jg) measurements
• suspended solids collection

as well as a software application for processing the acquired data to produce statistics on

• bubble sizes
• number of bubbles
• bubble distributions

The system can also be used for diagnosis of impeller (rotor) wear.
